Convertible Trim
I was wondering if there are any early 60s owners out there that could help me figure out where I could purchase the top and bottom exterior chrome trim for my 68 convertible. I have the side (pillar) pieces and internal pieces (sunvisor side). The body shop lost these somehow. I have not seen them listed at any of after market parts supply houses. Any ideas where I could get this trim??? This has to be available somewhere.

Rear Seat Bracket
I had complete new floor pans placed in my stang and there used to be a bracket that kept the back seat in position. With the new sheet metal the seat just sits there unsecure. How can one fix this problem. Is there an aftermarket part I can place in here. I have not seen this in any of my aftermarket parts supply catologues.

As far as I know the windshield trim is not available for our cars. Ebay may be your only option or a Mustang wrecking yard like CJ Pony Parts. Good luck and sorry to give you the bad news. Have the body shop look again or inform them they need to find a replacement at their expense.

Colorado Mustang also has a nice salvage yard and they may be able to get the trim for you.

MU carries the seat brackets you weld to the floor:

You have to weld them in just the right spot, so when you push your seat back and down, it snaps into position.

I sent off e-mails to CJ Pony and Colorado Mustang salvage parts supplies stores that were suggested and both were able to help me out with suggestions and available parts. I actually learned I am only missing the bottom piece.

Concerning the rear seat bracket. My bodyshop goofed by not installing these seat brackets I am going to have to fix this later. I will revisit MU site which is right down the road from where I live.

Purchased the well trim on EBay for 100. I think that is pretty good given the fact that these are not manufactured. I managed to get the windshield trim back from the body shop except for the base which I understand is remanufactured.

The windshield trim, I think you can get them at that auto parts web site. I am just not sure if they also have the rear seat bracket.

Anyway, good thing that ebay got you an answer but if ever you'll need one again, that link might be helpful.
