Default Master Cylinder Help...??

I have 1966 Ford Mustang 289 and single resivior master cylinder with four wheel drum brakes. I would like to know how to get the rod off the master cylinder. The new one didn't come with the rod. Thanks

you pry it out. Put the pedal rod in a bench vice and use two screwdrivers to wedge between the vice and the front lip to pry it off.
