The carburater was rebuilt about the same time as the engine.
The plugs are in good shape, hasn't been that long.
Though, now that you mention it, I really should check out the timing. I've been meaning to ask my friend about that. (I still don't know how to set the timing. xD)

Get yourself a Factory Service Manual. Best $40 you'll ever spend.

That said, timing is easy as long as you have a timing light.

Ya know, I've actually been telling myself to get that manual since the first day I got the car 4 years ago. I can't, for the life of me, remember to get it everytime I go to the 'Stang shop. lol

I'll have to get me one of those timing lights. Until then, I'll just badger my friend to let me use his.

+1 on the shroud. I had to put one on mine as well. Made all the diference in the world when sitting in traffic.

I also had to add a coolant overflow reservior. Do that, too, if you don't have one already.

You need a radiator shroud dude. This was a problem with these I-6 engines. The little 4 blade fan just does not move enough air through the radiator to take care of cooling at stops or low speeds. You can buy one or make one. Whats happening is when you stop the air is just circulating around the fan and not being pulled through the radiator.

Am I the only person with a 6 on here that has never had this problem?

Yeah but look where we live, the air isn't as dry here like where he is and humidity does help.

True. Humidity does help. What I really hate is getting new parts on and then have them rust in a day because they aren't painted.
