Default cigarette lighter doesnt work

where does the cigarette lighter wires plug in. i dont have my car down in virginia with me but i figured i get an idea on how to fix it when i get back. theres no power to the ligther and i didnt know if i should run through the wires and try to fix it, or buy a cheap one from wall mart and just wire it to my fuse box

yeah like it says above the hot wire goes to the center post. and you ground through the dash. its very straight forward. but check your fuses first.
