Question which hood and where (thoughts)

I want to get a new hood for my 68 notch back. The hood I have is in really good shape but I want something different. I looked at premiumponyparts.com and saw a few that looked decent but nothing that I really had to have. I also looked at mustangplus.com and saw they have a "deluxe" 67-68 hood one is $174 and the other is $529. One is aftermarket and the other is origanal tooling I am told the origanal tooling is licensed by ford whereas the other isn't. Does anybody have any better options would you go with one of those? I don't want to spend a fortune if I don't have to and I don't want to have to buy another later because it doesn't fit or look right.

I like the 67 shelby style hood. Its $450 from mustangdepot.

If you really want something different buy that hood and I'll trade you for this one lol. I guarantee there is not another one like it.

I prefer no hood

J/k. I would go with either style shelby hood or the turn signal style hood.

Adrenolin, your car is a bad ***!

I love the 68 Shelby, but to use the hood you have to use all the Shelby front end pieces. Try this one from Stangaholics:

Or the cowl induction version:

Thanks! And the wife says thank you as well.

Yes your correct however doesn't someone make the 68 style that didn't need all the extra items? It fit in with the stock light buckets, etc. Just looked a bit and cant find a site with it but was sure someone had this.

I like the 67-68 turn signal hood if the rest of the car is stock.

Otherwise either of the Shelby hoods is nice. I like the 67 Shelby hood better personally.
