Default Headers Installation Help

I think I feel like an idiot here. I have already installed my engine and hooked it up to the transmission and flywheel. I tried to slide the headers on the side of the engine, No such luck. Please do not tell me I have to yank the engine again.

thanks

You should be able to finagle them in there some how.Usually from the bottom up.You might also have to remove the engine mount bolts and jack it up.good luck!

You should be able to slide the pass side header down from the top, if not, it will easily come up through the bottom. May need to remove the starter. The driver's side is always harder. will have to come up from the bottom, and you may even have to unbolt the motor mount and jack up the engine some.

Remove the spark plugs and come up from the bottom. Worst case, you can remove the motor mount bolt from one side and jack the engine up slightly. As long as they are made for your car, they will fit.

Ok. They are long tubes for headers. I will try to unmount the bolts and jack up the engine with the transmission attached. I will slide from the bottom up and hopefully get them to lay where they need to be.

Thanks again for the help

lol. I do not know! its so hard to see any numbers on them. I know when I got the car, the guy told me that they were long tubes.

As for the installation. I have sucessfully installed the passenger side exhuast header, however, like you said the drivers side sucks! Very Hard, I have not jacked up the engine, only the car body for the passenger side. Now I think I will have to jack up the engine from the motor mounts.... AHH lol really do not want to, but hey! why not! its practice! lol
