If you're planning on building it, buy a V8 car sans motor. You can dump whatever motor in that you want, and you'll have V8 spindles and a V8 axle to work with. If you can't find one, go ahead with your conversion plans and find a really cheap T code car with minimal rust.

Ford never made a v8 car with 4 lugs they said its a v8 car since it has one in it now they didn't know there is a lot more different then that.Vins will tell more truth then anyone else can about a car.My 68 was built as a inline 6 car when i got it had the swap done. And was a 302 but didn't matter to me i was gonna strip it and start over just wanted a rust free body.I know i got more in my car then it will ever be worth but its worth it to me.

There's no engine in the car in question. The only reference to a V8 I suspect is due to a fender emblem. I can't see it clearly in the pics but I believe it's a 289 emblem. These guys specialize in classic cars but relied on a fender emblem rather than code tags? I guess we all goof!
