Default Replacing Speedometer Driven Gear.

I was wondering if anybody had a guide or could tell me how to go about checking/replacing the speedometer driven gear on a C-4 trans. My speedo stopped working and I want to check if the driven gear is wrecked. What do I have to do?

Shouldn't need a guide (although you need to pick yourself up a factory service manual). Remove the speedo gear retaining clip bolt, pull the cable end out of the tranny tailhousing, remove the clip from the gear, and the gear should pop right off.
