Yep the ignition coil is bolted with the intake bolt.

Why do you think it is leaking. I let it run for a while, I driven the car but i did not see any leaks.

Pony carbs has a great reputation. So, try there. Oh, and that white box on the right front corner of my engine bay is the reservoir for my radiator. Originally, the 65's and 66's didn't have that. I'm not quite sure when Mustang started putting those on.

1). Vent for float bowl. This does not hook up to anything and needs to be open and clear of any debris, otherwise there will be drivability issues.

2). Steel pipe originally went to a Vacuum operated brake booster. You may not have this on your car.

You need:

1). hook up vacuum line to modulator on Transmission so that car will automatically down shift when engine is under load at lower rpms

2). Remove steel vacuum line and save for later if you add power brakes. Cap off threaded seat by tapping a pipe brass plug to to the proper thread (probably about 16tpi).

You may also need to make adjustments to the vacuum modulator, I would highly recommend either the factory manual or a good book on C4 transmissions.

I agree with Soaring about Pony carbs, pretty decent product.

Ok so if i understand this correctly, the way that the vent for the float bowl is setup is normal, its open so nothing needs to be fixed there
But the vacuum line is cracked. I saw some openings in the line so i guess it's not a vacuum line anymore

By the way, where do i find pony carbs ?

=> And yes, I live in Belgium, its a beautifull country but too few mustangs ... we can't even get the new one here, and if you can get one ... they are sooo danged expensive.
50.000 euro's + crazy taxes. Oh well I got my '66 ... i'm happy

I was wondering because i saw the belt going that way. That steel line Scott was talking about goes to the transmission moduler. At least on my 66 it does.

Here is the addy for Pony Carbs. I was stationed in Germany for several years, and I don't remember ever seeing a classic Mustang in all of Europe. I know there are some there, but they must be scarce as hen's teeth.

Well when I look picture and I see brown all around carb I think there is or there has been major gasoline overflow. Gasoline and dust togehter will make that kind of dirt and you have that dirt quite lot. It is flameble and when you have old car, old electricity and old carb it is point to be careful.

Usually those carbs are good and you dont need new one. You can rebuilt it with master kit and if it is Holley carb you can order master kit by LIST number. LIST number is in choke tower (LIST 12345-6).

I would take 6Mustang6's word for the steel vacuum line. he's got one.

6Mustang6 is your's bent like that??
Looks like it should be facing towards the bell housing. Maybe it's just a matter of loosening the line and turning it so it points that way.
Also is yours that short? I thought the steel line going to the transmission went almost to the vacuum modulator.

Michaeldogrell, you can replace the vacuum hose. Get a plug for where they have looped it back to the intake manifold, and run it to the vacuum modulator. this will make a big difference in drivability.

Yes, Mine looks exactly like his, It has a bend in it, then it bends upward. There the rubber line connects to it. SO his is fine by looking at it. I would love to answer anymore questions about it so if you need me, you know where the thread is.

Nah, that ain't from a leaking carb. At least not any excessive leaking. Look at any daily driver carb, and that brown crap is on them. That's a natural phenomen with carburetors.
