Got back to Texas
ORIGINAL: Scott H.
Suddenly I'm feeling much better about my little trips of one or two weeks. Glad you made it home safe and sound.
I'm going to be in Texas a couple of times over the next 3 months. I'll let you know where I'm going to be. Love to meet up and buy you a beer, or what ever you favorite flavor happens to be.

Thanks Mark...It's good to be back. Suddenly, I have been placed into a world where everyone speaks English (well sort of if you consider Texican as the English Language
) And the weather is warm and dry here in west Texas. It's also neat to be driving my Mustangs again.

At least youre able to drive yours, lol, welcome back to Texas. And Texican is its own language. What part are you from,
i remember you saying you went to T.U., 'cause I go to A&M.

HAHA! You're just talking alot of mess arent you. Well at least youre represtenting. R.C. Slocum didnt do too well with our football team, but now that we have Fran, I think we'll give dem tea sippers a run for their money. Good to know you still have the spirit in you. LOL
Do you guys still have the big bon fire, or did that fiasco a few years ago stop that? My oldest brother graduated from A&M and then got his Master's degree from U.T.
Yeah Its gone and done. We have a very large memorial that was just built for all the Ags that died in the Bonfire incident, I unfortunately was never able to work on the bonfire, I always wanted to , because I grew up here. You should while youre down in texas stop by and see the Memorial, It shows the history of it all, and its really full of meaning.
I remember back in '59 when my brother was going to A&M that he was detailed to help build that huge bon fire, and I even wondered at the time when that enormous thing was going to kill someone. Yeah, if I am in the area this summer, I will stop by. I will be retiring in the central hill country in December, so will have some more time on my hands to go do stuff like that.k Do you know how Bevo got his name? The Aggies beat us 13-0 and stole our longhorn bull and branded him with 13-0. Well, the teas sips just re-branded the 13-0 into BEVO. We stole your dog Reville more times than you can count.
It was all in fun and good times by all. It's a great rivalry, and I sincerely hope it continues throughout the ages. Too bad we are not the Southwest conference anymore. We have to compete with folks like Nebraska, and have to embarass them.
