Default 302 C4 Flexplate questions...

I'm ready to change my flexplate, but I don't know which one I need. 164 or 157 teeth? My bellhousing is not the removable type, if that makes a difference.

Also, is there any one aftermarket brand that is best, or should I try to get a Ford orig? I would prefer to get a new one unless they suck.

Can anybody offer advice on this? Thanks in advance.

If your dipstick goes into the pan, you need a 164. Means you have a truck trans. If your dipstick goes into the case, you need the 157. Both C-4's the bolt front the pump side. You can tell you have a truck (flair care) because extra bolts hold the pump in. The car trans, (step case) the bellhousing bolts hold the pump in. Hope I helped.
