See...Those crates ain't cheap. Get the early 70's 302 and build it to your liking.

Mustangs don't come with a 5.4 yet. In my personal opinion carburetors are more user friendly, where as Fuel injection requires computers and EFI boxes that you will have to wire, power and fanagle to get them to work.

Just my .02

ok i got another question now, ive been talkin to people around i know and ive found two potential sellers of a 302, one comes out of an 80's lincon and one out of a early 70's mustang, at least thats what im told, how universal is this motor, which will work and not work, also any personal preferences on going with a newer fuel injected motor or not, even worth it? im gettin lots of info and these are some of the things im not sure on yet, thanks

Neither one of these motors is an ideal choice as a starting point to build up a nice little power plant.
Get a better definition of 'early 70s.....the year will have alot of information that will help define the total performance potential of the motor as it sits (block and heads).

True dat Dodgestang. The early 80's up until 84 had upgrades beneficial to power add ons. But once the 85's came out, the EFI and computer chips came into effect.. However, I would still opt for an early 70's 302 over the other choice.
