Default Disc Brake Question

i have been looking up online and talking to different people and have ran into some dead ends on which disc brakes are capatible with the early model mustangs. i have heard that the 65-70 will all work for each other but the 71-73 are completely different. Is this this true, if not what would i need to change on my 67 mustang to make the 72 model disc brakes work on my car.

Yeah i have 71 spindles on my 68 i had to use 71 tie rod ends and new rubber line to the caliper is all.But since your buying them used rebuild the hubs new rotors and pads. And make sure the calipers work too.The 70-73 had the biggest brakes of any early mustang but they was single piston but have one thick spindle tho.

I prefer to use disc brakes that match the year of the car in question. That way, you don't have to be The Amazing Kreskin to remember which parts you'll need to maintain your car.

See http://www.discbrakeswap.com/parts for a description and compatibility guidelines for the major OE type disc brakes available for 65-73 Mustang.
