Please do not go bigger than 17. These cars are smaller and also don't have the large wheel wells that the new cars do. It won't look right.

Anything over 17 is just dumb, unless you get 18" Razors.

To answer directly....yes 18 and 19s will fit the car.

Stay at 26 inch total diameter rim and tire and you will be fine.

You didn't ask about width so I will leave that for a different discussion.

Different, but related.

To stay at about 26" tire OD with 18/19 wheels means that you'll not have nearly as much sidewall as you do with 14/15/16. What that means in turn is that in order to maintain adequate load capacity in the tires that you'll have to go considerably wider than the 195-ish OE size. Meaning you'll end up needing wider wheels as well (and then you get into the offset and backspacing stuff).

There probably is a tire & wheel size solution that fits all of the criteria, including actual availability at an acceptable price (don't laugh).

That thing is completely custom. Fat Man air ride suspension in the front, Air Bar suspension in the rear, and flared fenders. That's the only way those fit under that car. And I guarantee a good bump while turning will destroy the front fender, or wipe out something underneath the car. It's a show car, not something designed with any practicality or budget in mind.

Realistically, 17's fit well, and while I think they're still on the large side, they're not obscenely large and will actually tuck up under the wheel wells better than a 16" wheel, assuming you have the proper backspacing. Not to mention, they're significantly cheaper (both for wheels and tires) than anything larger.

i love how people see 100% custom Mustangs like the Kona, Nemesis, and Obsidian running 19s and 18s and think they can just throw a set on their car and hit the road. like Tad the Great said, they are CUSTOM. Extensive modifications. Impractical. Trailer queens.

So dont expect much help coming on a classic forum and asking for people running 19s...pretty much no one does.

I agree that the Kona has a lot of custom work done to it but that does not mean that you cant run an 18" or 19" rim with out doing a bunch of extra work. Its not going to look the same but ff you've got the same overall diameter, width, and offset it will fit just the same. You'll have thin sidewalls so it will give a rougher ride but if you want to sacrifice ride quality for looks then go for it. I'll be running 18's on mine but I guess its all custom with the air ride and stuff too so I shouldn't "expect much help coming on a classic forum".
