Default '65 GT not charging

A couple weeks ago my '65 GT would not start; solenoid didn't even click when the key was turned. Well, today I tracked the problem down to a faulty headlight switch (after more that a couple full days with a multimeter following wires around. So, I put everything back together with a new headlights switch, and everything seems to work except for the charging system. I downloaded a handful of wiring diagrams, and my car's system didn't match any of the diagrams I found online. Here is what I've got:

Cable from "BATT" terminal on alt goes to radio supressor thing and snakes around past the VR, goes under the dashboard, splices off to power seemingly everything, and then comes back out and attaches to + side of starter solenoid.

Cable from the field terminal on alt goes to "F" terminal of voltage regulator.

Cable from "S" terminal on VR goes to firewall bulkhead connector.

Cable from "A" terminal of VR goes to + terminal on starter solenoid.

No cable to "I" terminal on VR.

Just had alternator tested (ok) and brand new voltage regulator. What is wrong with my wiring? Please help, this is my daily driver.
