66 mustang, 6 cylinder ,, drums all the way around,, when I got car,, the brake shoes with the most "MEAT" were in the rear postion of every wheel, the one with the smaller lining in front,,, just had drums turned all the way around,, new shoes all the way around,, now the emergency brake won't work even though I didn't tough it,, old shoes are long gone,,did I get the wrong size shoes ( 9 inch drums ) or what,, it's driving me nuts

any help would be appreciated,, thanks

That's normal, the rear shoe has more lining.

The shoes on the rear are the emergency brake, and must be adjusted when the shoes are replaced. Make sure they didn't knock something apart when they did the brakes, though.

In fact, now that the brakes have a few miles on them, they should be manually adjusted.
