The 65, 66, 67, and 68 Mustang GT came standard with fog lamps. The 68 Sprint also had them. While some dealers may have installed them from service parts, they were not a RPO.

Fog lamps disappeared from Mustang in 69, even the 69 GT didn't have them. The 70 mach1 had "sport lamps", which were essentially useless. Similar lamps appeared on 71-72 mach1, also useless.

It's true the 65 and 66 GT350 had no fog lamps. The 67 GT350 and GT500 had none, but they did have four headlights instead of two, with the high beam lamps in the grille.

Early 68 GT350 and GT500 had real Marchal fog lamps, later they had real Lucas fog lamps, and these were also used in 69 and 70.

Actually, properly aimed 65-68 fog lamps can be a Godsend at night in the rain, if you actually drive the car. I used them at night constantly, when I drove the car regularly, which was over 20 years.

I have the GT fog lamps on mine and its not a GT. I got the kit from CJ because they had a sale at Christmas time and I saved about 80 bucks. The kit included everything from the complete grille (its all different excpet the horse and corral) to the factory style switch and wiring.
