get the ford shop manual for your year model. IMO, the others aren't worth considering.

Absolutely right, Chilton, Haynes, etc. are 1/4" thick, and "cover" 10 years of Mustangs. The 1967 Factory Service Manual is about 2" thick, and covers only one year. You do the math.

Yeah I agree I went with a Haynes Manual at first. What a waste of time that was. Nothing to follow and very confusing instructions. ^Get the one for the year. They are a little bit more then a Haynes manual but far better.
Here is a link to what you want http://www.waynesclassicmustang.com/...rge/106945.jpg

I also picked up the electrical Assembly Manual as well. It was cheap and iam sure I will need it when I tear all the wiring out! Goodluck

To be really honest, I have a stack of manuals and don't really care for any of them. Some are good for this or that but then they leave a lot of information out on other topics.

The Ford shop manual is the best of the lot but still leaves a lot to be desired at times. In places it is very skimpy on the details.

The guy who sold me the Mustang gave me the Haynes manual and it is pretty useless. I then bought the Chilton's manual because I was familar with them due to my old Trans Am but it is not so useful either.

The two manuals that I have found useful are the electrical assembly manual and the body assembly manual....maybe I like pictures or something...LOL!

If you want to make a lot of money....tear down an old Mustang then put it back together and then write up a manual on how to do common task (include lots of pictures and diagrams)...you'd probably sell a lot of them.
