Default Replacing Floors

Hey Guys
Im new here but i was wondering the benefits of using full size floor pans to using the small sectioned ones. Is it just a matter of whats saveable?
Thanks

If your trany tunnel is fine it's generally better to not cut it out and use the 2 separate drivers/passengers pan.

The shop I go to has done both, but unless the repair areas are small, they use a whole floor. Two long pans actually make more work than a one-piece floor, and of course unless you buttweld and grind you'll have a lotta scars where the floor should be smooth.

It would depend on if you're going to be doing the work yourself I would think. My tunnel was just fine but my floors in front and rear were shot and i just bought the separate sections and repaired them. I didn't feel that replacing the whole floor was needed nor did I think I could get that huge piece of metal into my car easily for me to repair it. You'll have to probably cut the big floor pan repair piece in half for you to get it in your car and even then if you can't get it into the car via the windshield then idk how you would.
