Default 1972 Ram Air

So in 1972 the ram air was offered only with the 2 barrel carb, but how do you know if the car came equipped with ram air or not? Is there some code or am i just being dumb? haha thanks guys

No, the 2V-only year was 73. There was no code, you'll have to get the invoice from Kevin Marti to find out.

How odd. The 4V Ram Air was dropped during the year at some point, but can be seen on 351HO and 351CJ cars. The weirdest part of the 2V Ram Air is they had single exhaust, as dual exhaust was not offered on the 2V.

Here's some Mustang (Ford) info for 72:

Does the hood have the ram-air ducting and special open top air cheaner housing? That should be a tipoff. Most peps would not take the duct off the hood.
On the non-ramair cars, the duct was not installed and it had and an enclosed snorkle air cleaner. The NACA hood had the intake holes, but plastic plugs were installed over the holes. If you still have the plugs that is a tipoff you don't have the ram-air model.
