Default Trans Vacuum modulator

If I get a C6 from '66 for a 1970 mustang do I used the 1970 mustang C6 modulator or the 66 modulator ? I was thinking the C6 is universal in all fords but I am not sure. Also the vacuum line from that would I use the year of my car or the year of the engine?
Any information on this would be great!

Use the one that's right for the trans.

Okay thanks!! I thought that but my buddy told me it did not matter because all the C6 back then were the same. Did not matter year or model he said.
Should I use the Vacuum line for the 70 mustang? because the line goes with the body style I think.
