Default Not a Mustang, but help me please?

Ive been on this site a while, havent posted in a few months because ive been busy, nice to talk to you all again. Now, I have a question that I hope you can help with. On my brothers 71 Chevelle, we completely rebuilt the front end, we put new shocks, springs, bushings, power disk brakes, tie rod, 1 inch sway bar, in fact the only original pieces on the front are the a arms (upper and lower). Now, today was the first time my brother has driven it since we did all that. However, when we stepped back to look at it all, we noticed his front tires looked like this \ / (not as extreme but to a degree) then while he is driving (he drove past me a few times to see if there was a change) it goes straight l l and then the opposite way / \ we have discussed everything we can think of, but we have no more ideas. Every idea we had was ruined by the fact that the tires move. It was the wierdest thing ever. Any ideas??? Thanks in advance for any help.

Wow, don't drive it like that.

There are a few possibilities. 1) The car needs upper and/or lower control arm bushings. 2) The UCA adjustment nuts are loose (since I believe it uses sliders to adjust the camber on the UCA). 3) The wheel bearings are very loose. In any case, the car is unsafe to drive until the problem is fixed.

We put the original sliders back in because they were the original alignment job that was correct, And dont worry, once we noticed how bad it was, we stopped driving it. We replaced the bushings on it too, as i said, the only thing original is the a arms. and for the third, we made sure the wheel bearings were tight, our dad made sure of it, he is at a loss too.

That's not good, definetly do not drive it if it is showing differences in the camber adjustment that quickly. Just look at all the componets and I am sure you will see where the issue lies.

I'm still suspicious of the sliders. "We put the original sliders back in" doesn't mean they're tight. Go back and recheck everything. Something's loose somewhere.

Ya, true, we just assumed that the alignment would be the same.
