Post c4 trans.. need help

hi i gotta problem with a c4 trans.. well i recently rebuild it put it back in and for some reason there was like a huge leak from rear casing gasket. so i took it back out looked at it and its not ripped.. nuthing. everything looks fine..

do u think if i tighten the band to tightly it can cause fluid to shoot out like that .. cuz it only does it when im n 1 gear or R.. which it has to be something with the rear pack or band. or could it that it had to much fluid n the casing... thanx

Abel.

Don't torque them!!!! Tighten them down till snug and on the intermediate band, back it off 1 3/4 turns. Back the low-reverse out 3 turns. Torquing them will break the bands. At least halk the calls I got at B&M were because people didn't READ the instructions. Most of the torque settings are inch pounds, NOT foot pounds!
Check the low-reverse band cuz it does sound like it is too tight.

Oh yeh, also check to make sure the vent isn't plugged or that would also cause the fluid leak. Most likely isn't that because it would cause fluid leak in all gears but it's something else to make sure is in good shape.
