Angry Rim Size

I need a spare tire for my 68, so I need a stock 4-lug hole rim. Then only rims I can find have tires on them already and I don't know if the rims are the right size. So, I'm trying to find a rim that has the same size tire as mine on it, so I know I have the right size rim. Anybody got any ideas how I can make this a simpler process? Can't get much help from the junk yard.

The tire size has the rim size in it. P215/65/R14 is a 14" rim.

You need more than just any 4 lug rim, though. You need to get the proper bolt pattern. Can't remember it off the top of my head, but you can just take a measurement from two bolts directly opposite from eachother. You also need to get the proper backspacing to make sure the wheel doesn't interfere with the brakes or the fender lip.

IIRC, old datsun 4 lug rims will work, but I could be wrong.

What you need is a 14 inch wheel, with a 4-bolt 4.5" bolt pattern, regardless of the tire size.

OK. I measured my lug nuts from center of nut to center of nut and they are 3 1/8" apart. ??????

NEVER MIND.......I didn't know I was supposed to measure diagonally. They are 4.5" just as you said. Sorry........
