Default 1968 driver side door issues

I own a 1968 coupe and about 2 weeks ago I caught someone opening the driver side door and when I ran out to my car he slammed my door. Now it wont open! it seems like the bottom sticks out a little further than the top. Ive tried opening it with the latch inside the door and outside. Ive played with the handle a little bit, but does anyone have any advice to help me out? Its killing me to have to slide over from the passenger side door

Try putting pressure on the bottom of the door while someone activates the door handle. It sounds like either the seat belt got jammed under the door, or a tool did.

If he jimmied the mechanism, the rods that release the door may have been disabled. If the first suggestion does not succeed, you may have to remove the door panel and open the latch from inside the door.
