Default transmission fluid leak

I'm down to my LAST leak! I have transmission fluid coming from someplace up on the passenger side of the transmission. It's a C4, and it looks like it might be coming from a small metal plate about 4 inches square. What's behind this plate? Fluid level should be well below this, no? Can I just remove the plate and install a new gasket?

If it's round with four corners, it's the servo cover. There's a lot going on behind that cover. More likely is coming from the cooling fitting above the servo. These are available new.

Smile leak

WOW! Thanks for the pic. I know when I put the engine/trans back into the car 15 years ago, I had one helluva time getting those connections made up and tightened, so it's VERY likely that the one above the plate might be loose. I've since acquired tubing wrenches, so this should be one quick fix! Thanks again - a picture is worth a thousand words!!
