Default Master cylinder selection

I switched my 4 wheel drum to front disc off a 70 or 71 mustang. I am staying with manual brakes. I read somewhere online that the I can use a 1969 F-250 master cylinder. Does this sound right? Is there another donor vehicle I should be looking at for a master? I will be getting a proportioning valve from summit.

If manual disk/drum was an option for 70 or 71 I would recoment using a M/C for the same application...

The main concern is the DIAMETER of the m/c bore when trying to "match up" a brake system.
