Default 351w engine swap

Hi, Im currently running a inline6 on my 67 coupe, I would like to swap the engine for a 302 or a 351w, I found a lot of articles on the 302 swap, and it looks pretty easy. Will the 351w just drop in my mustang like the 302? or what mods need to be done, I really dont want to mess with the shock towers. and in the long run will the 351w put out much more horses then the 302?

Minimum 50hp and 75lb ft of torque instantly! Everything would be the same except you would have almost 2 inches more clearance than on a 65-66. I didn't do anything to my towers and no probs. Good luck.

Hey checked out your pics, nice paint in the engine bay, what did you use? also Im thinking of putting on the t-5 trans. What did you have to change to get the 351w in the stang? did you change to V8 mounts, springs/shocks?

Well, the engine bay in the 67-70 was all the same, as far as that goes.

Drop in? You'll need to replace the motor mounts and brackets, transmission, driveshaft, rear axle and brake assemblies, front brake assemblies, exhaust system, cooling system, engine electrical wiring, and some other small stuff.
