Question Turn signal switch

Alright, my turn signals, brake lights and horn were not working right to i replaced the little plastic part 3 times and still couldnt get it to work right. So i ordered the whole she-bang with the wiring to go down the steering shaft. So i wasnt thinking and messed the whole thing up, i pulled out the wires in the plug with out remembering which went where. To make this even worse, the wires that came with the new switch were slightly different colors (but enough to mess me up). So if you could tell the matching wires for the plug. there are 6 wires that go into the steering column side and 9 wires that lead out on the gauge side. This plug is somewhere under the dash and leads from the bottom of the steering column up towards the gauges (you dont need to take anything apart to look at it). i have the correct wires on the side of the plug that goes to the gauges but need to know which wires go into the plug on the other side (coming from the steering column). If you could just let me know the corresponding wires to the colors below.
going around the plug(the one that leads to the gauges):

Yellow corresponds to ...
2 light green ...
light blue ...
very light blue(almost white) with yellow stripe ...
2 light green with white stripes ...
2 white with blue stripes ...
Sorry if this confused you, i tried to be as clear as possible. Thanks and i really need your help.

I was looking through my wiring diagrams, but I'll be darned if there is not one that shows the column wiring.

Mine is out of the car and I can look tonight and get the wire colors for you. Best I can do for now. Hopefully some of the knowledge wizards on here will have an answer quicker.

This diagram is out of the FAQ section and may be helpful as the color codes are on the left. You can zoom in to enlarge the drawing.

Mark,
I prefer the mitchell manuals they have the color on the wires instead of numbers. let me know if you want the Mitchell version. ( or just go to the FAQ section)

This may not help you, but thought I'd pass it along anyway. I had problems with my turn signals and brake lights doing wild stuff. I replaced the bulbs, the flasher, and the turn signal switch in the steering column, but the problem persisted. I then replaced the voltage regulator and everything worked fine.

Thanks alot, im going to use the diagram and hopefully that will make it work. If that does work ill try what unit suggested, ive already replaced the bulbs and switch (multiple times) as you have but hopefully this will work.

I used the diagram and i think i put the wires like it said but it was kind of confusing as to which wire goes on which side of the plug. I did my best and switched wires around a few times but could get it to work. The closest i got was having the horn honk when my left turn signal on, lol. Maybe the Mitchell version would be better, i just couldnt get the one in the FAQ section to work out. If not i will have to spend some major time with a testlight and do alot of trial/error stuff, fun!!! Thanks.
