70 Voltage Regulator

70 Voltage Regulator
Is it normal to only have 3 of the 4 spots on the voltage regulator connected? As in only 3 wires running to it even though it has 4 posts? lol Thinking this could be a problem but I am not sure.
EDIT
This is what my connection looked like ...
Sum up of the photos is : No "I" wire to the regulator, stator on alternator empty, "S" and "A" on the regulator are hooked up to the engine harness.
Anyone have any ideas??
Harness
Alternator

Yeah one of mine appears to be missing too. The top one, to be specific.
Edit: I found what a new voltage regulator connector should look like, for sale at MustangsUnlimited
Can anybody with a working vehicle check to see what their connector looks like?

Moved to the top of the page.
You are missing the same stuff as me? And we both have the same problem... lol
I think this is what I need but I am not sure. It looks correct.

Flash...that looks like the correct piece. Do you have the connector on the car that plugs into the blue connector on that? Also, the extra black plug from the reg conn was for aa radio suppression capacitor. Looked kinda like a condensor in a points dist.

The extra yellow wire you mean? So I need 4 connections to the voltage regulator instead of the 3 I had before? Does this make any sense to you http://forums.cjponyparts.com/showthread.php?t=2674
Thank you
Thank you

Well, I got out to look at mine. I can't see the connections on the alt because I have that big solid connector and can't see the colors or where they go. However, on my regulator, I have the yellow wire going to the A. The green/red wire to the S. And an orange wire to the F. The I on mine is empty.
The connector from top to bottom is....
F
S
A
I
You can probably make the harness you have work as long as the part it plugs into is still on the car. It looks like you would run the loose wires to the center of that harness, then make them branch off of it and those would be the wires for the regulator. You can get another connector or just use spade term's to connect it.
