Question Turn signals... Again

So, ive worked on my wiring for about 10 hours and still cant get it to work. So i ordered a whole new OEM switch and want to see if you guys could provide me with the correct info so i can see if that works. Ive posted this before and used the FAQ diagram to no avail. I messed the whole thing up by pulling out the wires in the plug with out remembering which went where. So if you could tell the matching wires for the plug. there are 6 wires that go into the steering column side and 9 wires that lead out on the gauge side. This plug is somewhere under the dash and leads from the bottom of the steering column up towards the gauges (you dont need to take anything apart to look at it). i have the correct wires on the side of the plug that goes to the gauges but need to know which wires go into the plug on the other side (coming from the steering column). If you could just let me know the corresponding wires to the colors below.
going around the plug(the one that leads to the gauges):

Yellow corresponds to ...
2 light green ...
light blue ...
very light blue(almost white) with yellow stripe ...
2 light green with white stripes ...
2 white with blue stripes ...

Sorry if this confused you, i tried to be as clear as possible. Thanks in advace for your help.

Strange. The color codes are supposed to match. Either your car is screwed up, or the switch is.

well, the first switch i had was a cheapo import, didnt work (colors were different from the original)- i spent hours doing trial and error but couldnt get it to work. then i bought the original switch which will hopefully work with your help. its not the car cause all but the brake lights worked before. im really hopeing that it was the switch and that the new one will fix the problem.

Have you checked the tightness of your neg. battery terminal? I spent two days chasing taillight problems and thinking I had a bad turn signal switch until I tightened the neg. terminal on my battery and everything started working properly again. Worth checking, anyway.

My light problems were solved when I replaced the voltage regulator. Before I did that my lights were doing crazy things like turn signals worked until I applied the brakes, then brake lights came on and signals went out, and other weird stuff.

Standing in front of the car it's to your right, next to the radiator. It's a box with a wiring harness plugged into the bottom of the box.
