Default Help..Car not running :(

So I recently moved and got the mustang to run and get to the new house after some trans problems. Then the other day my mom needed to move the car from the carport..she said it started fine then when she put it in reverse she said she saw a flash of light through the dash panel and the car died. tried starting it after checking to make sure nothing was on fire and the car cranks but no start. So im thinking coil went out?? it has a Pertronix II Ignitor and MSD Blaster2 coil that sits on my firewall. Is this my problem? the car has gas and no air intake problems. I had an almost similar problem awhile back and changed the coil and everything was fine. Now I dont want to buy another coil if this is not my problem please help any suggestions are very helpful.. Also if you need any more info about the car setup let me know and I will get what you need Thank you in advance.

For starters you can do some resistance testing on your ignition coil. Follow this guide: http://www.international-auto.com/af...ition-coil.cfm

Your results may vary slightly since most coils are different.

Well, put your hands up on the dash and see if you can feel the coil vibes, good vibes means, it's still good. If you get bad vibes or none at all then...I'm just full of s**t or more info is needed. No, but, rally. That'ss not enough info to diagnose a bad coil. I doubt that she saw a flash from the coil sitting in the car unlesss you have a glass or no hood. Pull the coil wire out of the distributor and put it near ground and see if you have spark.

So, where'd you move to?
