Default 1967 6cyl to 8cyl conversion

will my 200ci 6 cyl starter work for a 289? and is running 5 lug 14x6 wheels good for a 289? finally are tri-Y headers any good? i cant seem to find any reviews on them... thanks

No, although it will fit a 390/428.

and is running 5 lug 14x6 wheels good for a 289?
The factory wheel for 67 289 was 14x5. Even the styled steel 67 wheel was 14x5.5.

finally are tri-Y headers any good?
They were good enough to be factory equipment on 65-66 GT350 Shelbys. Excellent low and mid-range power.

The 289 uses a 2-bolt flange, and the FE and 6 use a 3-bolt. The 289 engine is a much newer design than the 6 or the big V8.

Yep. Weaker. And the 351 used an FMX or C6, even the better C4 was not considered strong enough.

i have my 8.8" rear end in my backyard and the axle spin opposite directions, why is this? example: if i spin one toward me, the other spins away from me

That's a conventional axle, with no traction control. The differential allows the wheels to spin independently.

so when i bolt it under my 67 the wheel will spin as they should? both in the same direction?
