Thermactor distributor?

Can someone tell me what a thermactor distributor is? Google wasn't finding much for me. Thanks!

The Thermactor is Fords "smog pump", and a Thermactor distributor would be a distributor calibrated for an engine equipped with one. There was a distribution valve or air bypass valve used with a Thermactor.
