1965 coupe window jamb patch panels
We are beginning a home restoration of a 1965 coupe that had a vinyl top. It has rust holes approx. 2"x1" on the top of the front and rear window jambs near or at the corners. Has anyone been able to find for purchase any patch panels for this area of the car? I am a decent fabricator but would rather purchase the parts if I can since I am working out of a two car suburban garage.

I will have to go out and compare the angles but I don't think they would be the same. The flat lip that the window sits on is okay, it is the part that wraps into the roof line that is rusted through. Odd that they make parts for every other part of the car but this. I am use to making repair parts from aluminum or titanium for aircraft, not so much auto body parts. I need to find out what the correct type of sheet metal would be.

Take a picture of the sections you need and locate a good wrecking yard. We got one or two out here on the left coast. Just have the sections cut from a wreck. Most wrecking yards have webpages and emails. You can probably do it over the phone. Limit your size/weight for shipping but being specific on the cuts.
