Default FRAME RAIL ISSUES

I have a 65 mustang that i started to work on about a month ago. I have prepared myself to replace the aprons and knew that one of the rear rails would need to be replaced. I want to do it right but also not spend a fortune on this. The front left frame rail was cut into during a past restore to reinstall the bumper brackets. This in turn turned a hole about an inch long into something that would sink the Titanic. How hard is this to replace? is there a patch? IS the entire rail needed to be replaced or just a section. This is my first restore and need advice. How do you uplaod a picture?

The back end, middle, or front end of the rail are available separately.
