Young punk using my account!

I have the same wheel on my 66, but keep in mind both of these wheels on Mike's 68 and my 66 are on Flaming River columns. You can install them on factory columns, but the adapter diameter is slightly different. Here's my 66:

Yeesh, that's a lot of brushed steel. Are you going to be able to drive that in broad daylight?

Thanks! I didn't go with a wood grain steering wheel because of my dash - it wouldn't have matched perfectly. It also would have been wood overload.

It's a Lecarra 14" Mark 4 Elegante. $143 from Summit and another $15 or so for the 2-contact horn button. The leather feels great - highly recommend.

AJ 68 how does it hold up? Have you had any problems with the horn button not working or "popping off"?

Just curious b/c I really like that wheel as well and I'm looking for a leather one since wood just does not go with what I have planned for my 69.

They don't have a matching wood grain shifter ****?<grin> I like the look of the wood, but without any other wood accents, it just doesn't look right to me.. I went with the black, because of black interior accents. Any brown trim going in or are you leaving it with just the wood wheel by itself?
Be sure to post follow up pics as you finish the interior. I'm starting mine now, just fitting stuff I can remove when I do primer inside and out.

The steering wheel itself is built like a tank. The leather is 100 times nicer than the Grant steering wheel I had. The Grant started fading after 6 months! The plastic lecarra button doesn't fit as tight as I would like - but I haven't experienced it pop out.

I wish they had a billet Ford pony button. I really like the wheel though. Printed it out to put in my binder on what I want to get for my car. Thanks for sharing AJ.

I definitely would like a horn that works, which reminds me I need to find a horn for it.

They sell many different styles of horn buttons, however, most of them are not "two contact" like our cars require.
