Late model 5.0 in 1965 Mustang
#11
Just go to a parts store and purchase a Duraspark dizzy and ignition module for a carb'd late model and wire it up, problem solved. Yes, also make sure you use the 50oz balance factor flywheel and balancer. The other things to look out for are if you run a mechanical fuel pump for a carb on an EFI engine, you need a timing cover that has provision for the pump and also you need the pump eccentric on the front of the timing gear. Also if you're going to run a manual then you either need to get a clutch z-bar adapter or convert to hydraulic or cable clutch. Also you need to switch the oil pan from a rear sump/pickup to a front sump/pickup(early style) pan and pump pickup.
