You'll need a pair of 77 Versailles/Granada outer tie rod ends. If you have power steering you'll have to get a special "65-66 power steering with Granada spindle" outer left tie rod end. Cha-ching.
You may also have problems with your wheels. Most factory wheels of the 60's had center holes too small to fit the hub of the Versailles/Granada brake rotor.
Personally I've always thought changing the spindles was too much like work. The 66 factory disc brakes used the same spindle as drums, and since they are available that way, I just use them.

I have Granada brakes on mine. I had no issues other than the fact the like 2+2 said, the center hole in some of the older wheels wont clearr the hub.
I doubt the braking ability of the Granada stuff is less than the factory 65-66 discs. I don't see how thats possible.
Mine stops great with the Granada stuff. I'm sure there are better setups, but I don't want to be forced to run larger wheels. I want to keep 15 inch wheels on my car.
I also read that there are problems with the Versailles front spindles. I'm not sure why Ford didn't just use the Granada parts on the Versailles. That would have made things easier.

anything else you guys can think of? i heard something about having to buy a shim of some sort or something like an adapter because the Versailles disc brakes use a larger diameter lower ball joint stud? anyone know where i can purchase that?
Here is the bushing you are looking for:

Here is the install instructions from CSRP which is basically the same as what you are doing. Step by step write up is excellent. It will download the PDF file that you can open or save:
http://www.discbrakeswap.com/instruc...3-granada-swap
Might want to look at CSRP kit for $524. It is a great value and deal with quality NEW parts
Here is more info on the kits:

You sure you don't wanna just keep the spindles you have on the car? The factory brakes are quite powerful, and will fit stock 14" wheels.
I would not bother with shimming the Versailles spindles. The shims are expensive and the steering geometry of the spindles is not OE correct for a 65-66. The Versailles spindles are in demand by mid 50's Ford owners wanting to do a disc brake conversion. These cars need the larger ball joint hole that is on the Versailles spindles. This makes them somewhat valuable and you could sell them on eBay, and then perhaps get a complete kit with new parts.
If your 66 is 5 lug, you could install the 4 piston caliper based OE type disc brakes. If the car is a 4 lug type, you can get a 4 lug, OE correct steering geometry, Granada based kit. Both kits are available for $525-$575.

This is the same brakes in a ready-to-install kit. Note the 67 dual reservoir cylinder, a nice safety touch in an otherwise stock installation.
