Default help with the differences in 9inch rears

i have a 67 mustang coupe and i have been looking for a 9inch for a while now. i am going to call some junkyards on Friday to look and see if they have any from a Lincoln Versailles...what year Versailles has a 9inch that will fit into a 67 mustang?...what should the measurements be and where should i measure from...also are those rears nodular iron (i think that's the term)...i read that the stronger 9inches have a "N" on the casing...any and all info is appreciated greatly...thanks guys.

you do not need the nodular (sp) case. a regular 9 in. case will handle more power than you will probably have. good luck

Yeah all the Versailles rear ends are the same. I think it was 75-80 as well. Definitely keep all the parking brake stuff. An incomplete Versailles rear end is not worth much. Make sure the parking brake levers are on the calipers and dust shields etc are there.

The price is fair if it is complete. Keep in mind you may need to rebuild or exchange the calipers. Also, double check the bolt pattern for the wheel to make sure it matches the bolt pattern you plan on using.

That is a good price for a rear end that is rebuilt with a good gear ratio and limited slip.

That rear end should work.

This may help you.
