universal joint help

Default universal joint help

took the 65 to the track and this is the 2nd time busting a u joint. snapped the ends off so im looking for a good solid one, like a spicer

caps are 1 inch by 1 1/8.

check with republic diesel over on nandino, they carry spicer u-joints

breaking 1-1/8 caps sounds like an awful lot of torque (i'm guessing that the cap diameter is 1-1/18). if one of the caps is 1" diamter then we're talking either 6cylinder driveshaft or rear axle, which wouldn't surprise me then.

Anyway ... i hear the one's without grease nipples are stronger

ya i ended up getting one through republic diesel. same size as before but a spicer unit.
