Cheapest or Best?? Cheap is exactly what you'll get for 130.00 through to expensive 1000.00+ kits.

The Ron Francis (XP-67) setup will run you 429.95, includes a sweet fuse panel (16 fuses), new headlight switch, top quality on everything including wires, custom labeled wires every 18" or so, etc. You can't go wrong with it.

Never seen them un-extended. You must be thinking of the 67-68.

Yep the 69 tail lights extend past the rear panel. That's the way they are. A good body man could make a rear panel to use earlier tail lights, but the easiest thing for a 69 would be using a 1970 rear panel and tail lights. Personally I prefer the 69 tail lights and thought about changing my 70 to use the 69 lights and rear panel, but wound up leaving it stock. I prefer the 70 headlight buckets so I figured it be out of place to have 70 headlights and 69 tail lights. Below is a picture I grabbed off the internet of what 70 tail lights look like.

yeah I think the 70 taillights suck compared to the 69 lights. I love the curved taillight panel and the lights are a nice shape. However, the flat panel on the 1970 looks good when painted flat black or the honeycomb panel is added.

And I'm opposite on the headlights from you, I love the 4 headlight look of the 69. I know it's the only year the classic mustang had them but I just think it looks tough. I may be biased though
