Default Transmission leak / overfilled?

It seems I have some transmission fluid leaking out. Not a whole lot but it's there. It also seems it doesn't ALWAYS leak but just sometimes.

Now I'm wondering whether this is because there's a leak or because there seems to be a LOT of tranny fluid in it.

When I check the fluid level with the dipstick there's an indicator 'ADD' and one that says 'FULL' and after that there's the text saying to check it while hot with the engine running in park. The oil level goes way past the 'FULL', covering at least half of that sentence. That seems kinda full to me.

Any ideas?

Sounds full to me. Did it once and it kept spewing out onto the exhaust burning up, especially sitting at traffic lights. I would drain some out.
