Default Lean and rich

So I had the spark plugs out today and noticed the drivers side plugs looked like they have been running lean then when I pulled the plugs on the other side they were all black like its running rich on that side. I'm running an air gap dual plane manifold and a Holley 750cfm carb. Since it's a dual plane manifold can I lean out the rich side by putting a smaller jet on that side of the carb? Any other suggestions why its doing that and how to fix it?

Interesting. I have the same issue but just though I had something screwy going on. I have a similar issue at WOT only where the driver side is leaner than the passenger side 14:1 vs 12.5:1. At crusie, idle, and partial throttle (running on the primaries) the AFR is balanced.

The short answer is no. With a dual plan the runners split with some going left and some going right. You can stager left and right with a single plane somewhat, but it is not really viable to do it with a dual plane.

I have considered sending my Air Gap to Dr. J's http://www.j-performance.com/index.p...d=16&Itemid=30 to see if they can even it out. I read an interesting article on them and intake port work.

I suspect my issue might be a leak somewhere in the driver side either header, head, or intake, but since it only does it during WOT, it is very hard to diagnose.
