Default 67 disc brake booster

I have a 67 coupe with 289. Does anyone know the difference between the midland booster(with clamp) or the bendix booster? Does anyone know what originally came with the 67? The parts companies always list both boosters. Thanks

They both came on the 67 and I'm not sure but it may have been what factory built the car that made the difference. I didn't think you could get the midland booster anymore only the bendix.

If you go bendix and order local be sure it has the adapter bracket, some parts stores have them welded to the booster so people won't take them. I bought a reman. bendix and found a bracket, it was cheaper to pay the core than look for one.

You'll need to knock 1 or 2 welded nuts off your pedal bracket as the booster bolts are larger than the manual MC bolts. You'll also need a PB pedal to get the correct ratio going from manual or you'll have really touchy brakes.

Here's the difference in the pedals, I picked one up on fleabay, your pedal box should have the holes in the upper area for the higher mounting point of the PB pedal.

As above I believe it justs depends on where/when the car was assembled for Bendix vs. Midland.

67 68 MUSTANG COUGARS were Midland Boosters with the clamp band---Hell the parts houses have no idea the applications.

The Bendix (Contract with FORD) didn't start till the 69 model year.

To do a correct fit, Correct point 67/68, it has to be a Midland, Pure and simple.
