I have a 65 convertible. The antenna is on the right side 50 1/2 inches away from where the fender meets the headlight surround and 2 1/2 inches from the peak of the fender (away from the engine). That is the center of the hole.

The exact location is around somewhere, maybe in a sticky, maybe on a website, I know I've seen it. Ford supplied a plan because the radio antennas were dealer installed.

Found it. The "Official" Ford template.

Antenna Template sheet 1

and

Antenna Template sheet 2
To print sh2 the proper size scale it at 150%.

Going from edge of fender at door, I have 7" then 2" in from edge going towards motor.

The antennas are probably all over the place. Someone at each dealership had to install these as part of dealer prep. I'm sure they got the hang of it, and I'm sure they got sick of using the template.
