When removing shock tower tops
Right now my car has the grab a trak kit with the shelby drop
It has the 620 springs up front with their sway bar as for the leafs int he rear not sure what those came with with the kit
The rear shocks are still the grab a trak ones from the kit but the front shocks were replaced with the cheapo monroes as the grab a trak ones went bad.
How stiff are the leaves in the rear? 4, 5 leaf? Shocks and springs work together. If it's a 4 leaf then I definitely wouldn't run GR-2 rear and Gas-A-Just front, since it would probably understeer pretty good. If anything it would almost need to be the reverse of that. Personally I have 5 leaf rears with 620 fronts and Gas-A-Just all the way around with poly bushings, and I don't find it too stiff. But I like to corner hard and don't mind a stiffer ride than most people.
If you're concerned about ride quality and less about cornering really hard, then you'd probably be better off with GR-2's all the way around. It's usually a good idea with non adjustable shocks to run the same shock design from a given manufacturer on all 4 corners, since the shock valving is designed to be closely balanced for a given car, assuming the springs are closely balanced.

Is there any way to identify what leafs i have? With shocks I am looking for a ride that is less like a tank and more comfortable over bumps and such. No cornering here just straight roads and slow turning.
Count the number of leaves in the spring pack.
If you don't plan on cornering hard then something like the GR-2 is probably what you're looking for. They're designed to provide more stability than stock but without sacrificing ride quality.

Those are lowering blocks, they're designed to make the car sit lower than it would without them. However, they're NOT how you want to lower a leaf spring car. They create a larger moment arm between the axle and leaf which makes it easier for spring wrap up to occur under acceleration or braking. Not a major issue in a car that doesn't see heavy throttle or braking, but they'll cause problems in performance applications.
However tall the blocks are is how much they lower the car. Mid-eye is about 1-1.25" lower and reverse eye is usually about 2" lower.
Keep in mind, 5 leaves are pretty stiff and are generally a high performance setup.
