Default Key Blanks

Hi, I've been having some trouble getting blank keys that fit my car. 73 coupe. I replaced the ignition and door locks with a set I bought on line several months ago. I ordered some key blanks, but they are too thick. They look right otherwise, just won't fit because of the thickness.

Got, ford keys from an ace hardware, same story. Too thick. Did they change the thickness of the keys at some point, or did my lock set come with weird keys?

Where is a good place to get blank keys from?

I want to say that I bought a trunk and ignition key for my 72 from NPD this was a few years ago. I had the dupes made and all worked fine.
