Default Tire recomendations

I am going to pick up some new tires while the car is down and i wanted some input.

I drive it hard and like to corner but i also want to get the best traction that i can out of the hole.

I am running 17 x 8s all the way around. My car is only a street car, however i do plan i taking a few runs down the strip once it is tuned up.

How often do you plan on driving it and much money are you looking to spend? Lots of options for 17x8's.

I have BFG g-force Sports on our '66 and Bridgestone Potenza RE760's on my Mach. I've been quite happy with both sets of tires, but the Bridgestones have better overall traction. I've also run BFG KDW II's with excellent results and Sumitomo HTR II's that I wasn't happy with.

If you want to corner and have a lot of traction, Toyo Proxes RA-1 but they'll wear quickly since it's a DOT R compound. Otherwise something like a Toyo R1-R or T1-R.

Im not really concerned about price. the only driving i am doing in this car is the fun kind. And, i have figured that fun costs money and i am willing to spend it on the stang.

I liked my Sumitomo HTR ZIIs and right now I have a set of Falkens I am about to put on my 15s. I've read they are a good tire.
