New Door Skin
I drilled holes into the lip that folds over and then plug welded them with the MIG. I spaced the holes about 6 inches apart.

i drilled the wholes and was about to put the skin on.. For some reason i just wanted to see how hard the little bit of bondo i used to fill in a little spotty rust holes.. all of it was good but the one peice that didnt have alot smushed through. i primmerd the door and it looked good. The bondo fell out. =( none the less i sanded it down and put a peice of duct tape behind the whole and smushed alot through and now its all better again Woo hooo putting the skin on friday.. Thanks guys
If you have to do that to rust such as on a small spot on the inside of a door you should sandblast just that area inside and out and use duraglass not bondo. Make sure it has a good primer on it after you are done.
I have the Duo point rust fighting primer over it and then sealed. it i would have cut the rust out then put a new peice in but its rusted in a groove so i just bondoed it.. Worst case in a couple years ill just get a new door for it. or just let it go its on the inside of the car and you cant see it unless you lay down on the ground. i plan on making the car a daily driver and show it in small shows nothing big. Ill put some picks up tmrw or sat.. Thanks

In my youth I had glassed over some holes in the bottom of doors, last time I looked at this truck a few years ago, the patches were still perfect. At this point the truck has been parked for 10 years after being used for 13 with the patches. The patches have proved good enough until I get back to working on the truck again.
